We are looking for a versatile and enthusiastic Office Manager to run daily operations of Founders Den. Founders Den is San Francisco’s most exclusive workspace and community for startups and investors. Founders Den has been home to top investors including Amplify Partners, Basis Set Ventures, Bullpen Capital, Correlation Ventures, Data Collective, Maveron, Norwest Venture Partners, Precursor Ventures, Spark Capital, and Uncork Capital.

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Managing Partners as the ambassador of Founders Den and key contact with Founders Den companies, visitors, vendors and the community. A hospitality mentality first in building relationships with everyone.
  • Handle all office management and logistics including ordering supplies, restocking the kitchen, guest reception, managing shared resources and conference room use, accepting deliveries, supervising repairs and cleaning. Ability to multi-task and balance multiple, changing priorities is essential.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Founders Den, helping the Managing Partners design and implement policies and provide feedback on their real world utility.
  • Enforce and monitor house rules and policies with startup tenants and visitors at Founders Den. The Founders Den Office Manager will play both peacemaker and enforcer with the members of the Founders Den community, keeping the office running smoothly and the clubhouse full of VIPs and energy that isn’t just from unlimited cappuccinos.
  • Coordinate all tenant leads, tours, approvals, and lease signings, including tracking of upcoming vacancies, conducting tours and interviewing prospective tenants.
  • Collect and deposit rent from Founders Den tenants and remind tenants regarding any late rent when necessary.
  • Manage events at Founders Den, both internal events such as private talks and small advisory dinners, as well as occasional larger external events with up to 200 attendees. Event management includes coordination of invitations, guest lists, preparing and enforcing event budgets, managing and hiring event staff, planning food & beverages, as well as coordination of furniture, A/V, and cleaning. Occasional late nights for coordinating evening events will be involved.
  • Perform basic Founders Den bookkeeping, expense tracking and working with the Den’s accountant.
  • Coordinate communication between Founders Den tenants, sponsors, advisors, visitors, building property management, and the Founders Den Managing Partners. Founders Den is first and foremost a community, and fostering this is a critical role for the Office Manager.
  • Assist the Managing Partners on ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Experience or familiarity with technology startups and/or venture capital is preferred.
